DOBSON'S CORNER (Special) -- Ida Jones, 89, widow of Manley Jones of Dobson's Corner, died Tuesday at the Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex, after a brief illness.
Born at Steeves Mountain, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Katherine (Hope) Crossman. She was a member of the Steeves Mountain Baptist Church.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Mrs. David Dunston (Iva), Berry Mills; 3 sons, Ottie, Moncton, Stillman, Dobson's Corner and Ronald, Charlottetown; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
The body is at Armstrong's Funeral Home, Peticodiac, where funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.” [The Moncton Times, Wednesday, 13 Aug 1980, p. 2]220
