“Hector Jones
Death Claims Hector Jones
Hector Jones, 82, of Indian Mountain, died in the Moncton Hospital yesterday afternoon following an illness of 4 weeks.
He was born in Steeves Mountain, a son of the late William and Catherine Jones.
He was a member of the Steeves Mountain Baptist Church.
Mr. Jones is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Bruce Stiles (Gertrude), Moncton, Mrs. Daisy Girouard, Montreal, Mrs. Alma Steeves, Fredericton, Mrs. I.J. Dalshana [sic: should be Dalshaug] (Aleta), Saskatoon; one son, Kenneth, Indian Mountain; one brother, Luther, Berry Mills; three sisters, Mrs. Caroline O'Blenis and Miss Christy Jones, Moncton, and Mrs. Lillian Stiles, Calgary; 9 granchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
His wife, Aurelia Steeves Jones, predeceased him in 1947.
The remains are resting at Tuttle Brothers Slumber Rooms. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Tuttle Chapel, interment to be in the private Jones cemetery at Steeves Mountain.”220
