GIVAN - Died suddenly, at Moncton, Feb. 16, of congestion of the lungs, Mary Ann, aged 49, wife of William Givan and daughter of Capt. William Rising, of St. John.

The community was shocked this morn, to hear of the death of Mrs. William GIVAN w/o Alderman GIVAN. The deceased was taken ill Sunday with la grippe which developed into congestion of the lungs. She succumbed to the disease at 8:15 this morn. Mrs. Givan was born at Great Yarmouth, England and was a d/o Capt. Wm RISING, St. John. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Givan leaves a husband and two sons, Fred GIVAN and Ernest GIVAN.
