Thomas Bartlett, yeoman of East Chinnock takes on apprentice through
overseers of the poor. Thomas Rogers, a poor child, of East Chinnock
aged 8 apprenticed till age of 24 in husbandry. Theo Bartlett signs
with Samuel Daniel and the 2 JPs are E Phelips and Giles Strangways”

22). Headstone. In memory/ of Thomas BARTLETT/ who departed this
life/ March 4th. 1788/ aged 56? years/ Also Elizabeth/ his wife who
departed/ this life November, 11th./ 1789, aged 55 years /Also/ Thomas
Bartlett, junr:/ who departed this life/ March 21st. 1816./ aged 51
years/ Also of / Mary/ widow of the beforenamed/ Thomas Bartlett, junr:/
who died Octr: 26th. 1847/ aged 84 years/ Also of/ Thomas, Charles/ and
Bersey (sic) who died/ in thier (sic) infancy/ children of/ Charles and/
C...... (illegible) Bartlett.
