Notes for Rebecca Casey
From Marlene Schaedle:
“The Daughters of the American Revolution or DAR began in 1882? and is open to any person who can prove their direct line to a participant in the war for independence. It is like joining the Mayflower Society because you must provide birth, death, and marriage verification for membership. It was not quite as strict about information back then as now, but it is among the most recognized and respected organizations next to the Mayflower society. I have a copy of the original document for application into this society by Rebecca Perlie daughter of Amelia Allen and Alexander Casey grand daughter of David Allen and Sarah Polley and gr grand daughter of Benjamin Allen and Sarah Somers.”
