“Mrs. George MORISON, Victoria, B.C., a former resident of this city, and her nephew, Arthur LANGLEY of Victoria, who has been visiting Mrs. J.B. CALKIN, went to Sussex (Kings Co.). Sussex is Mrs. Morison's old home and this is her first visit to it after 32 years residence on the Pacific coast.”

“Victoria, B.C. 'Weekly Times', Feb. 26th, 1892 - At 1:30 p.m., Friday 19th inst, George MORISON died at his residence in this city, age 72. The deceased was one of Victoria oldest pioneers, having come here in 1860. He lived in Barkerville, Caribou, with his family for several years and then came to Victoria and opened a drug store at the corner of Government and Fort Streets. This business he continued for 25 years. Mr. Morison was a native of St. John, N.B. and was remarkable in his earlier and middle life for his robust health. Latterly, however, his health gave way and was an invalid for several months before his death. The deceased leaves a wife and one son, who is a landing waiter at the custom house. The funeral took place Sunday p.m. 21st inst. from the R.E. church where Rt. Rev. Bishop Cridge, assisted by Rev. C.E. Robbs, read the funeral services. The pall bearers were Hon. Thos. DAVIES, E.C. BAKER, Thos. SHOTBOLT, A.J. LANGLEY, Dr. J.D. HELMCKEN, A.R. MILNE, A. WILSON, T.H. HENDERSON. Mr. Morison was a brother of the late Robt. MORISON, Esq. and will be remembered by the residents of Sussex and Dutch Valley, although he has been absent from his native place so many years.”
