“Luther Martin JonesLuther Martin Jones, Berry Mills, died at Moncton Hospital yesterday at the age of 88.
Born at Steeves Mountain, he was the son of the late William and Kathleen Jones.
A member of Berry Mills Baptist Church, Mr. Jones was a retired farmer. He retired in 1958.
Surviving are his wife, the former Edna E. Steeves; five daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Trites (Lena), East Bridgewater, Mass., Mrs. Wilbur Ripley (Audrey), Brockton, Mass., Mrs. Harold Lewis (Madelaine), Moncton, and Mrs. William L. Melvin (Marjorie), Salisbury Road; 2 sons, Watson L. Jones, field secretary, C.N.I.B., Moncton, and Gerald L. Jones, also of Moncton.
Other survivors are: 2 sisters, Mrs. Caroline O'Blenis, Moncton, and Mrs. Lillian Stiles, Calgary, several grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
The body is resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have yet to be completed. [Daily Times, Wednesday, 11 Oct 1961, p. 5]”
