The New Brunswick Archives list Greta Abigail Colpitts, birthdate May 5, 1893, daughter of “Melburne S. Colpitts” and “Cora McKendrick”. However, there is also a listing for Greta Abigail Fryers, exact same birthdate, daughter of Alfred N. Fryers and Agnes B. McKendrick. Later in the 1901 census Greta is listed as daughter of the Fryers household in Moncton and is absent from the Colpitts family in Harcourt.209 Perhaps she was born to the Colpitts and adopted by the Fryers -- hard to say at this point who the biological parents were.
