“He was a decendant of Thomas Turner, 1700-1791, of New London, Connecticut, who arrived there around 1720 from England. Isaac's father was John Turner, 1751-1814, of Hopewell, New Brunswick and his grandfather was John Turner, 1728-1817, of Horton, Nova Scotia. Isaac was able to establish a goodly forture of his time. It was referred to in one account as "an embarassment of riches". He financed the mortgages of others, and he invested in his son Gaius Turner's shipyard and its many wooden ships.”
192He’s listed with his wife and 6 children in Harvey, Albert County in 1851, along with 17 y.o. “Elizabeth Colepet”, domestic (niece perhaps)
84Some have listed an additional son William born ca 1842 but there is no verification of this, while there is indeed a William Turner of this age who was the son of a different Isaac Turner in Blackville, Northumberland County.
