Obituaries notes for Joseph Benjamin Esgro
November 16, 2003 Joseph B. Esgro, 68, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday in his home. He was born in Syracuse, was a graduate of Liverpool High School, served in the U.S. Army, and worked for NY TEL for 28 years, retiring in 1993. He was predeceasedby a sister Vera DiCarlo, 1991. He is survived by: his wife of 39 years, formerly Linda Swete; a son Steven J. Esgro of Solvay; two daughters, Sarah Esgro of Solvay and Stacey Chilbert and husband Daniel of Liverpool; four grandchildren, Madeline, Jacqueline, Daniel and Jillian; a sister Chris Vaughn of Syracuse; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. in the PIRRO AND SONS FUNERAL HOME and 10 a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Marcellus. Friends may call at the funeral home, 514 Turtle St., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
