Perhaps named after her paternal aunt.
Listed in the 1881 census as Ellinore Garim (last name mistranscribed), age 1.9 Listed in the 1891 Ontario census in Ashburnham Village, East Peterborough as Ellinora Gerrans, born in in Ontario, age 12, Church of England.132 The census would have been before her birthday so this would make her year of birth 1878 although the FamilySearch website posting says 1879.96 Her age at marriage was 23 supporting the birth year of 1879.8
Her mother’s obituary suggested that she and her husband were living in Saskatchewan at the time of her mother’s death in 1931, although we know she lived in London for some time. Her two children are included in the tally of “seven grandchildren” mentioned in her mother’s obituary.
Frances Burt Givan’s address book lists her “Mrs. Kenneth Seabrook, 346 Piccadilly St., London, Ont.” which was her cousin Ellinore (the year of that entry is unknown).
Her grand-niece Myla Easton writes: “I remember Aunt Eleanor, who lived in London Ont, wore only blue & impressed me by lighting a candle & putting it in the window for me at night when my Mother & I visited her when I was about 15 or 16.”149
