From 1887 to 1890 Auguste Frank Barrow Burt was Incumbent of the Church of the Advent in Ridgetown, as well as St. George's in nearby Selton, both in Howard Township, Kent County.  In Ridgetown, his wife Matilda gave birth to their two children, Frances and Percy.  From here the family moved to the town of Durham, Grey County.
