This site, 70-78 Petty France in Westminster, was formerly 76 York St. where A.F.B. Burt was born and raised, and where his father and brother had a Chemist’s shop.

Believed to be of the young A.F.B. Burt in June 1877, this photo was taken by London & County Portrait Company, 63 St. Paul's Churchyard, London (the same place that photographed his sister Annie's family at that time), and was in a locket later owned by Frances Cecil Burt.

A.F.B. Burt studied Divinity at Huron College from 1883 (picture of the original building from J.J. Talman Regional Collection, Univ. of Western Ontario).
