Durham, Ontario
A photograph of a parade at Durham, Ontario, c.1890, with the Knapp House hotel building in the background. This image was published in "A History of the Town of Durham" and captioned as, "One of Durham's first bands in a parade at Garafraxa and Lambton." This gives a snapshot of what life looked like when the Burts were living there from 1890-93.

The Burt gravestone
At Trinity Church in Wethersfield, Connecticut (date of old photo unknown).
The inscription on the cross in the original photo reads: “They that turn most to righteousness shall shine as the stars for ever and ever. Dan 12”. Apparently this is no longer legible on the stone today. On the other side of the stone is Matilda’s name.
